Marked for Death looks like a warehouse sweep, but that reading sends you in the wrong direction. The real task in Arc Raiders is a short outdoor investigation: find Tian Wen's cache, read the ground around it, then inspect a buried piece of wreckage. Bring a light quest loadout and keep your ARC Raiders Items organized, because this run rewards awareness more than raw DPS.

Start at the Right Warehouse

Tian Wen gives the quest in Speranza and points you toward Su Durante Warehouses in the Outskirts section of Buried City. That location matters, since Buried City has several industrial structures that can look close enough to waste a raid. Before you move in, check the map marker and approach from outside the complex rather than walking straight through the main building.

The cache sits beside the west-facing exterior wall. It isn't hidden in a room, next to the central entrance, or deep among the warehouse interiors. Sand, scrap, and broken structures make the container easy to run past, so slow down when you reach the western side and sweep your view across the wall line.

Cache Search Checklist

Use this route instead of checking every doorway.

Confirm the Buried City objective points to Su Durante Warehouses.
Stay outside the main structure as you approach.
Circle toward the west-facing wall.
Search for the small container beside debris and sand.
Move close enough for the interaction prompt to appear.
After searching it, remain in the area and look for the next trail.

That last step saves the most time. A lot of players open the cache, assume the objective is complete, and immediately sprint away. The cache only starts the investigation. Leave too quickly and you'll have to retrace your route through a location that already has awkward sightlines.

Read the Ground, Not Just the Map

Once the cache is searched, turn west and angle your camera downward. The clue route is made from small environmental details rather than a large objective marker: faint footprints, a colored strip or scrap, and scattered wreckage leading toward the trees. From what I've seen, sprinting makes this section harder because pale sand can hide the trail when you're focused on distant buildings.

The clue you need is a small metal object partly buried near the trees. Check around the tree bases and inspect exposed metal that doesn't seem connected to a larger structure. If the prompt refuses to appear, circle the object slowly; the usable side can be easy to miss when debris blocks your approach.

Which Approach Works Best?

Approach Time Cost Main Risk Best Use
Enter the warehouse first High Searching empty rooms Avoid
Check the west wall Low Running past the container Best route
Leave after the cache Medium Missing the clue trail Only if the task updated
Follow the trees and wreckage Low Missing the interaction angle Quest finish

Extraction, Rewards, and a Safer Run

Investigating the buried metal clue completes the investigation objectives, so you don't need to carry a special quest item through extraction. Return to Speranza and speak with Tian Wen to finish the progression. The rewards are Shotgun Choke II and Angled Grip II, giving compatible shotguns tighter spread and compatible firearms less horizontal recoil.

For the run itself, pack enough healing to survive an unexpected hit, but don't overbuild your loadout for a short search mission. Check the west wall first, keep your camera low after opening the cache, and avoid fighting for loot unless the area is already safe. Then bring your rewards back to Tian Wen, and use the extra ARC Coins for sale only if your wider loadout plan actually needs them.
